Trek to Choquequirao 3 Days

ITINERARY
We will pick you up at your hotel in Cusco at 4:00 am in a private vehicle. After a 4-hour drive we will arrive at the village of Cachora and then continue another 30 minutes to Capuliyoc, where we will have breakfast. From here, you will start our hike with a breathtaking view. We will hike downhill for 4 hours to Chikiska, where we will take a break. The weather here is warm and there are mosquitoes, so it’s important to use repellent. We will continue walking for 1 more hour to the bridge that crosses the Apurimac River, and then we will climb 2 hours to Santa Rosa, where we will have lunch. After a good rest, we will climb another 2 hours until we reach the village of Marampata, where we will have dinner and spend the night. During this day, you will enjoy incredible views of the mountains and valleys.

After breakfast, we will walk 1 hour and 45 minutes to Choquequirao, an ancient Inca city. We will have time to explore this fascinating place, see its structures and learn about its history. We will then return to Marampata for lunch and descend to Chikiska, where we will have dinner and spend the night.

After breakfast, we will begin our uphill hike to Capuliyoc, where we will be picked up by transport back to Cusco. We will arrive in Cusco at approximately 4:30 pm. Along the way, you’ll enjoy beautiful views of the valley and mountains.
