Tambopata Reserve Tour in the Amazon 4 Days

Officially created in 1990 as the Tambopata-Candamo Reserved Zone, it is located east and south of Puerto Maldonado. It consists of 1.5 million hectares (3.5 million acres) in the Madre de Dios and Puno regions.
Like Manu National Park, the Tambopata National Reserve protects a great diversity of landscapes and wildlife, and can be visited all year round.
Day 01: Puerto Maldonado / Tambopata Reserve / Lodge
Pick up from the airport and/or bus station and transfer to the office where you can leave some luggage that you are not going to take to the tour. Then transportation to the port (port captaincy) one hour by boat down river, in a motorized boat that will take us to the port of Lake Sandoval and from there we will make the entrance to the National Reserve (TAMBOPATA CANDAMO) in a walk of about an hour and arrive at the lodge where we will settle into our comfortable rooms. The lodge has private bathrooms and is within the national reserve which makes it different from other lodges where we guarantee that you will see a lot of flora and fauna and have more contact with nature. After resting for a while and savoring a typical Amazonian lunch, we will begin our tour of Tambopata with a walk along one of the trails. You will see different species of plants and birds. Our guide will be explaining their uses in detail.
Then we will take a walk to see ancient trees. You will also see different birds like the harpy eagle, parrots and macaws. After getting the best introduction to Tambopata, we embark on a boat ride into the jungle to see caimans. Their glowing red eyes are captivating. Around sunset we will return to the lodge.
Day 02: Amazon Lodge / Canopy / Sandoval Lake
We will wake up very early to go to see the palm lick, this is a special place within the reserve where different species of macaws and parrots gather to eat the dried palm trees that are rich in mineral salts such as calcium, sodium, potassium, etc.. This is very important for the digestion of these birds. Afterwards we will return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast we will take a walk to appreciate the wonderful flora and along the way you can see some animals such as monkeys, deer, wild pigs, tapirs, sloths, etc.. Then we will return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch we can swim in the Sandoval Lake without any danger, then we will visit the lake in a paddle canoe where we will paddle to the other side of the lake where we will have a view of the entire lake and we will be able to appreciate the sunset. Then return to the lodge for dinner. After dinner we will tell stories and legends of the jungle, then we will go to our rooms for the night.
Day 03: Sandoval Lake / Canopy – Zip Line / Lodge
After breakfast, we will take a short hike deep into the jungle to a small river. Here you can catch some piranhas and bring them back to the lodge. Our chef will be happy to cook them for lunch using Amazonian spices, then we will take a motorized boat upstream until we reach the adventure circuit, with a walk through the forest, where the guide will explain about the medicinal plants and the fauna that normally inhabits this forest, it is a journey of about 15 minutes until we reach a tower of 27 meters high, we will ascend very comfortably by the tower, which will allow us to reach a suspension bridge, and the launching platform of the tiralíneas, First we will cross the bridge over the trees of 89 meters long reaching a height of 37 meters in the middle of the main branches of an ancient tree, great opportunity to see animals that are impossible from the ground, an unforgettable experience, then the guide and the assistants will prepare us to feel pure adrenaline, using all the safety implements we will make a slide down a cable and we will feel like a bird flying over the jungle, along 190 meters in a few seconds. We guarantee 100% safety, fun and lots of adrenaline produced by the adventure. After a typical lunch and rest, then we will go to our lodge.
In the evening after dinner we will make a farewell toast optional night for night hikes.
Day 04: Puerto Maldonado / Return Trip
After breakfast, we head to the warm city of Puerto Maldonado and free time where you can visit the main market and buy typical handicrafts of the jungle and / or swim in our pool of our facilities, then depending on the time of return of your flight or bus we will transfer you to the airport and / or bus terminal.
